Terms of service

littlelore writes and illustrates a picture book starring your child. You tell us their first name, their age, how they see themselves, and a line or two about them; we write the story and paint the pages, and the finished book lives on your bookshelf here for you to read together.

The words and the pictures are made by AI models. There is no human author and no human illustrator, and while every page is checked automatically, nobody at littlelore reads each book before you do. If that matters for a particular bedtime, read it yourself first.

You need an account, and you need to be at least 18 to hold one. It is yours: keep the sign-in to yourself. Make books for children in your care, and remember that what you type into the box that makes the book theirs is what the story gets written from.

$9.99 a month, or $79 a year, in US dollars. One plan, two billing periods — there is no tier above this and nothing to compare.

A subscription renews automatically at the same price, on the same day each month or each year, until you cancel it. RevenueCat runs the checkout and Stripe takes the payment. littlelore never sees your card number.

The yearly plan begins with seven days free. It asks for a card up front, and unless you cancel before those seven days are up it becomes a paid year at $79. Cancel before the seventh day and you are not charged at all.

One free trial per person, ever. The monthly plan has no trial — it is $9.99 from the first day.

There is a limit on how many books you can make in a month, and a smaller one on how many in a day. They exist because every book costs real money to write and paint, and because a script left running in a loop can make a great many of them.

Both are set well clear of what making bedtime stories looks like. If you are making books for your own children, you will not meet them.

The figures as they stand are shown in the product, on the page you subscribe from. If they ever get tighter, we will tell you before they change.

Cancel whenever you like, through the manage-subscription link in your receipt or by writing to hello@littlelore.app. Cancelling stops the next charge; you keep making books until the end of the period you have already paid for. Nothing is taken away on the day you cancel.

Write to hello@littlelore.app and tell us what happened. We would far rather refund somebody than leave them feeling stuck with something they did not want.

A refunded subscription ends immediately rather than at the end of the period, so no new books from that point — and, as above, every book already on your shelf stays exactly where it is.

Please do not use littlelore to make anything that is not a children’s book: nothing about a real person who is not a child in your care, nothing sexual, nothing hateful, nothing meant to frighten or distress. Do not script it, scrape it, or sell books made with it as a product of your own. Do not open extra accounts to get round the limits or to take a second free trial.

We can close an account used that way, or one used fraudulently. If we ever do, we will tell you why and you can reply to a person.

littlelore is provided as it is. We cannot promise it is never down, never slow, and never writes a page you would have written differently — a model wrote it. If a book comes out wrong, tell us, and use the retry button.

To the extent the law allows, what we owe you if something goes wrong is limited to what you have paid us in the twelve months before it did.

If the price changes, we will email you before it takes effect and you will have time to cancel. If these terms change, the date at the top of this page changes with them and we will say what moved.
